In order to become a member of ARC, individuals must either be experienced rowers or have successfully completed a ARC Learn to Row class. LTR classes are offered in the spring and summer. LTR class schedules are posted on the website approximately 3 weeks prior to start of the class.
| Juniors (high school students) | $120 per semester | | Adults | $225 annually | | Learn To Row Course | $100 per course |
This may sound like a lot of money so we would like to show you just how the money is spent:
Equipment
Purchasing and payments of new boats and oars. Boats can run in upwards of $25,000.00 for an eight-man shell.
Fund raising
There will be many fund raisers this year. Most of the time it costs money to make money.
Maintenance and Storage
A portion of dues will go toward the upkeep of equipment. Unless the equipment is regularly serviced we will have nothing in good shape to row. We also have yearly fees to store our boats at Lake Julian Marina.
The money is important but so are the people. If money problems arise, please speak to us and we will workout terms of payment. As you can see, dues are not squandered. We have some very real operating costs that must be met.
